Rail Route Studies / Surveys - This service can be invaluable to determine if extremely over-dimensional loads can be cleared and to find a rail siding that is suitable for loading and offloading.
Engineering / Drawings - With in-house AutoCAD capabilities, we can generate drawings that show how your cargo will be loaded and secured to a railcar.
Clearances - Rail clearances can be a challenging part of a rail shipping solution. Fortunately, we do this every day.
Insurance - We are able to provide insurance for your cargo while being shipped on the railroads, through Cooper/T. Smith, our parent company.
Equipment - SRT owns (and operates) a 450-ton capacity 20-axle rail car and 3 cabooses. For shipments not requiring this equipment, we work with railcar owners on a regular basis to obtain standard and other specialized railcars. Check out our Equipment.
Tiedowns / Certified Supervisors - We have AAR Certified Supervisors with the experience necessary to ensure that your cargo is properly secured - on time and in budget.
Rail Expeditor Service (Rail Rider) - For urgent shipments we offer a personal rail expeditor to travel with your cargo to help reduce transit time.
Daily Tracking Reports - Keeping up with railcars can be a challenge, but by staying in constant contact with the railroads and other resources, we can provide daily email reports for empty and loaded cars.
GPS / Impact Recorders - We have state of the art GPS/Impact Recorder Units available to track and monitor your shipment.
